October 26 Milanoyoo people, I never thought I would abandon my blog for three months..haha.. anyway, I am kinda free now, just finished my Chinese translation test today. phew..it was pretty easy actually  Wanna know more about my Europe trip?? I am gonna write anyway  Switch to other blog if you don't want to read. So the tall building in Dubai is actually still under construction and it's the tallest in the world, I learnt this after watching Amazing Race. Dubai wasn't really in my planned trip, so I only did a stopover there, probably less than 5 hours transit. Well, Emirates was great!! I watched a lot of shows during the flight from Singapore to Dubai and from Dubai to Milan.   We took bus from the airport to the city, and gathered some information about Milan, then off we go to find a hotel. Took a train which costs 1 Euro per person one way. You can purchase a day ticket which costs 3 Euros if you decided to travel multiple times in a day. First stop:
  DUOMO DI MILANO or Milan Cathedral It is the 7th largest church in the world (according to Wikipedia). Even though some not so good memories here, but I am still happy that I visited the church. It is a bit unreal when you see it right in front of you as most of the time we only see it in the TV shows. I couldn't describe my feeling, not even now when I am writing my blog. It is just amazing!! In fact, the architecture and designs was touted as one of the greatest in the world.  Inside the Cathedral
Wasn't gonna take picture as we are not allowed to, but I couldn't resist myself. Anyway, this is the only clear picture I have in my camera. The rest was a bit unclear cuz it's pretty dark in there.
The building next to Duomo di Milano is the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II. This is probably the most famous shopping place in Milan.
  Shops like LV and Prada (and McDonalds of cuzz) are all situated here. This is also where we took our Peak Time's video. Had our first meal in Europe, which is just a McDonald meal (you will see a lot more McDonald later on). The croissant is so so tasty and actually pretty cheap too, probably 2-3 Euros for coffee + croissant??
We spent 2 days and 1 night in Milan, my only regret is probably not visiting San Siro, which is homeground for both AC and Inter Milan. Stayed one night in Hotel Aosta, spent probably 60 Euros for 2 person. Then we took train to Rome from Milan Central Station at night. (Trust me, it wasn't a pleasant trip)

There are times that you would complaint to stay at home, but sometimes you just love being at home
(even though you might have to do the dishes, help in cooking and do a lot more stuffs)
Digged out a lot of stuffs that I used to play when I was a kid which included this:
These "rubber" or erasers are my collections, won by beating friends when I was in primary school.
I don't know what am I gonna deal with these when I get older, probably put them on ebay?? or passing on to my kids?? lol
Anyway, my sister was finally introduced to this game, cuz she was way too young when I play with my brothers.
So this is just one of the random stuffs that I did when I was back at home for a week.
Next, off we go travelling!!! Taking the cheap Emirates flight means you would have to fly at midnight and doing a transit in Dubai.
Dubai International Airport is really huge and pretty.

One thing to mention though, Emirates' seats are extremely comfortable and it is adjustable in many ways.
 And after long hours of flight, finally I am at the MILANO airport!!!

I was wondering should I reply by telling him: hey, I am in Milan now, what's up...lol
but anyway, I did not reply cuz I don't want to pay so much on my next bill.

It's holiday again. Compared to previous years, i have a relatively shorter holidays, because exams finished pretty late.
Anyway, I have been enjoying myself ever since my europe trip back in April. For the past 3 months, it is actually my holiday.
Talking about my europe trip, I am praying hard that I still remembered what happened back then so that I can post them here.
This trip partly thanks to Peak Time, if it's not because of this wonderful competition, I guess my europe trip would still be a dream.
To start, it has to go back to 7 months ago when I was in Hong Kong. I got to know that the registration for Peak Time competition open to all and to form a team, I have to gather another 3 members. So manyee, qinyao and kenjin became my members and either kenjin or qinyao came out with the name Silent Strike. At first it doesn't sounds right to me, but this is a cool name though so we kept the name.
Then the competition or the qualifying round started in late Feb 2009. Teams have to go through a series of simulation rounds and the objective is to maximize your share price. We scrwed up the first round cuz didn't know what to do with it. I remembered the deadline was the day that I flied back to Sydney from Singaore so actually I didn't take part in doing the decision. haha..anyway, it is not so important. After a few rounds, finally getting familar with the system and share prices got higher. So at the end of the first round, our team was ranked #1 in the group.
Moving on to second round, as compared to lsat year where only selected teams continued to next round, this year all teams are required to go though two rounds. So the second rounds was about creativity. We have to provide a case study solution, team description, resumes and a business idea. Again, everyone were busy so we only gathered together at the last day to talk about the whole case study. I am really happy actually given that all four of us are not seeing each other in person and yet we were able to work well. The last time I met Qin Yao was in Hong Kong Ocean Park and the last time I met Ken Jin was back in Kuala Lumpur during a gathering (if I am not mistaken).
So finally sent the email at the very last min. I spent the toughest week of my life waiting for result. Even my uni result doesn't get my nerve, but this competition really make sleepless for a week. And finally, our effort did pay off, my team was in the top 20 of this competition. I am actually kinda expecting it, but still I am happy. haha..so my efforts to check out the airfares even a week before I knew the results was paid off.
Then the next one week was a busy week as well, busy checking airfares again so that I can get the cheapest price, busy getting letters from uni and getting permission from lecturers and trying to ask for grant of course. I shall skip all these boring part ya...
Finally after a long thought, took Qantas back to Singapore and book return flight to Europe from Singapore. And so happened that Emirates was on sales during that period. For a return ticket from Singapore to Milan, it only costs SGD 733 (It's even cheaper than my return flight from Singapore to Sydney) WTH!!!! It was so damn cheap, so finally I realize my dream of taking Emirates flight.

想写这篇东西很久了，只是都找不到机会… 趁我还有心情写的时候，就坐在客厅 四周围黑漆漆之下，写了这篇文章。
15/2/2009 是个星期日，可是对我来说，是个难忘的星期日，因为在这一天，我见到了好久好久不见的朋友。事隔一个礼拜，可是脑袋里还是存在着当晚的情况。很想很仔细地写完出来，可是好像总是心有余而力不足。
只记得，昌盛，宝婷及丽婷是最准时的。接着爱珍，锦玲，秀芬，晓芹等等也到达…很巧的是，宝婷，丽婷，爱珍及晓芹都不约而同穿上青衣。哈哈
10年了，要保持联络，说实话，真不容易…虽然说凑办的人是我和锦玲，可是如果没有一般朋友帮忙，很难联络上27个人。见到大家，多数人都没变，变化最大，应该是两位筹办人…一个变美了，一个变帅了…哈哈哈哈…（几不要脸一下）
我真的很开心，见回一些我以为可能永远都没有机会在见的朋友。小学毕业典礼，还历历在目，转眼间，大家都长大了。看着小学6年级的班级照，大家都好可爱哦！哈哈…
或许朋友当中，有些人还有私地下保持联络，可是一大班朋友的聚会，应该很少有吧…说实话，我很伤心，当我知道我将搬离增江，但是也因为这样，才让我珍惜这班认识了超过10年的朋友。
如果当年，我留在增江，很多事情，都会改变，很多关系都会不一样，或许我也不会稀罕根一大班朋友在一起的时光。可是，偏偏我走的路跟你们很不一样，我知道你们当中有很多人都还住在一起，或者附近，都有机会见面…我呢，却只是一年回来一次，都不知道以后会怎样…咳… 我常常很自豪，我们这一班都是人才，有的刚毕业，有的还在读书，有的事业有成，有的在国家队，有的当模特儿，还有人在教书，教舞蹈…很不错哦！
都不知道，下次见面会是几时…但愿不会是另一个10年，因为我很难想象到时，结了婚后，还会有小学同学愿意出来叙旧。哈哈…
有时真的很想知道，在你们心目中，我这位朋友的分量有多高… 认识我的人，都知道我很重视朋友，不管是新，是旧，我都珍惜…
对着每个人说再见，那种心情真的很不好受，因为我真的很期待这次的见面，5-6个小时似乎根本不足于让我跟每一位好好的聊，但是记忆当中，我还是跟每一位都聊了一下，希望这个叙旧会，还办得不错就好了。

What I meant to write at first was weather in Canberra and Melbourne but not during summer..I have no experienced summer in Australia before..so cannot compare lah.
But the weather in Malaysia already making me sick..
I am not feeling well lah..
I think I am only sick for once in Canberra for the whole year, and winter wearing short pants in Hong Kong, never get sick also and yet I am only back in JB for less than a week, and I am sick..anyway, photos photos...

我不想酱emo的，可是偏偏播的音乐，不管我跳了多少次，还是播到一些很忧伤的classical music.
放心，只是今天...
让我发泄一下！high 了那么多天，也不可能每天都那么开心的对吗？
我不想回去！很喜欢这里...为什么新年要在一月尾？我还在 x'mas 心情呢...
在一个无人认识你的国度里，可以自由的做自己，可以想做什么就做什么，不需要顾虑任何人，任何事情都不需要经过太多的思考。
在这里，有人懂得欣赏你的努力，有人尊重你的决定，有人听取你的意见。
不是说在其他地方没有，可是久了也会厌倦，至少现在的我，深深的爱上了这里，不知是什么魔力（绝不是那堆爱抽烟的人）把我握给吸引住。
好啦，不说了，说多也不能改变事实。
今天的我才知道，原来我是第一个被 JM 请来然后分排到 JASG 的 intern.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
I went to Causeway Bay yesterday to countdown, so many people there, need to walk round and round to reach the centre stage, so i decided not to join the crowd at causeway bay, went to the seaside instead. There were a lot of peoples in either tsim sha tsui or west kowloon area, because those areas are the most strategic place to watch fireworks. I knew how bad the situation is, so I decided not to go Tsim Sha Tsui.
At first only plan to walk towards seaside just to avoid the crowd, but then I found a very nice place to see the fireworks as well, which is a place near to Causeway Bay, and which I dunno the name. lol. There aren't a lot of people when I first got there, but as time goes by, there are more and more peoples coming in to join us.
It was pretty cold last night, 12 degrees I think. I have no choice but to wear a short pants. So it's really freezing when I stand there.
But it was an enjoyable night, haven't shouted like what I did for ages.
I wish I wish that my parents would stay healthy always, both jie and lin would score straight A1s and As in PMR and UPSR respectively. As for myself, I hope to graduate smoothly, grade isn't that important, as long as I can do that...hahaha..
Then hopefully I would get a job as well right after I graduate, if I could secure a job even before I graduate that would be even better.
And I wanna go to Europe for my graduation trip...wakakaka..i guess is a little bit impossible.
Anyway, those are my wishes...hopefully all my wishes would be granted..hehe

 Fireworks @ Hong Kong new year eve
 Hong Kong Good 2009! December 29 Super Junior M ConcertThis is probably the first time it rains in Hong Kong since the day I got here.
Yesterday seems moody but didnt manage to spill the rain drops out.
So finally today it rains. kinda like the weather right now, it's getting colder these few days and it is forecasted that it will only get a little bit warmer in new year eve.
I went to T1 again to have my dinner cuz yesterday was so rush, need to rush from this stop to the other stop to tapao my dinner then have dinner at home then went out to see SUPER JUNIOR M. Well, if you don't know them click here.
To be honest, they are not very good in singing loooooooo. but since it's free, I have no complaint lah. It's all lipsing or at least 90% of the songs were.
The concert was held in Star Hall at Hong Kong International Trade & exhibition centre, Kowloon Bay. It's my first visit. And the hall is not that big, well smaller than what i am expecting. Those who paid HKD 800 get to stand right in front of the stage and so they get to see their idols nearer. As for the rest who held HKD 400 tickets get to sit and watch them, but from a further distance, and those who bought the cheapest ticket which is HKD 200 sit in the section 5-8 in 2nd floor. So they only get to watch from up there.
I am in the second row seat, so get to see some artists there, but really have no idea who are those artists..anyway got picture to upload later or maybe tomorrow.
And until now, if I am to play the face matching game, I guess I can only get Han Kui's name right. The rest I only remember their names but not their face.
So about the concert, there was a delay of maybe half an hour to an hour?? It was supposed to start at 8pm, but I am pretty sure after all the introduction by the MC and some MV, the shows started at roughly 8.45pm.
Then even though they played some instruments, it wasn't real as well, except for the flute that can clearly tell that it wasn't play from the CD.
And the so called prince violin (fake fake fake), piano (not really sure cuz can't really see, but it was pretty fake as well, cuz the music is so clear that it's pretty impossible to tell there are any mistakes), drums (also fake).
